A few months ago, a client, T., drew a beautiful picture and gave it to me. I told him I would put it on my website and let his teacher know, so they could view it together. Tomorrow is the last day of school for them and I still haven’t posted the drawing on my website. The truth is that I’ve been carrying around with me. This has been a year filled with opportunities for growth, i.e. stress! LOL! Whenever I feel tense, overburdened or stressed out, I look at T.’s picture and it brings a smile to my face. It reminds me of the importance of the client and therapist relationship….not only for the client, but for the therapist as well. Although I love music and being a musician, the driving force behind my decision to become a music therapist was how I felt interacting with clients. It’s still the great motivating factor in what keeps me going when I’m working late at night, running to sessions through the rain or just plain exhausted. The connection I have with my clients…made through music, trust and working together brings me great joy.
So I hope that T. can understand why I was so late in putting his drawing on my website. I loved seeing it everyday, before and after every session!
I do not know if it’s just me or if everybody else experiencing problems
with your blog. It appears as though some of the written text
within your content are running off the screen.
Can someone else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well?
This could be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
Many thanks
I checked and it seems to be running fine. Maybe it’s your browser. Thanks for your interest in music therapy!
