I just figured out how to make gifs, so I thought I’d post my first one here.  Music therapy may be one of the few professions where the therapist may be addressed by many names other than our official designation, Board Certified Music Therapist, (typically shortened to music therapist or MT at work).  Here are a just a few samples: music lady, guitar lady, bag lady (because I carry a ton of bags filled with instruments), music teacher and musical therapist. Not horrendous and it could definitely be worse, LOL! However, from a professional stand point and after all of the hard work it took to become board certified, it’s nice to be acknowledged by the correct name.  So here’s my gif for when someone calls me a musical therapist.
